Points from Week 25 - Decision Time!

Re:
Sorry about the downtimeOK, we have three options.
1. Do nothing. Points for those who managed to predict for Week 25 before the site went down stand, those who missed it miss out.
2. All Week 25 games are void. No-one gets any points.
3. Average points are awarded to non-predictors. If you predicted in Week 24 but didn't manage to predict in Week 25 you get the average score across all the people who did predict in Week 25. Which I haven't worked out yet. If you predicted your scores stand.
My preference is, I think, for option 3 (or the "Strevett Compromise", as I've just decided to call it). Comment below if you strongly disagree. The decision will be taken on Sunday evening.

option 3 - but average score must be for scorers as well - for those that predicted scores but not scorers

Option 1 - Strongly disagree as you can make the predictions a long time before, it's your own fault for not doing them earlier!

I'd probably go for option 3, mostly because I had a good night of predictions that night! The people who missed out should get the points based on them having gone with the average prediction for each game, e.g Chelsea win, most people would pick up at least 3.

Option 2 definitely. i like to put provisionals and then check lineups and make changes accordingly. For example i put Elmander, saw he wasnt starting so went on here to put lee chung-yong instead but obviously couldn't get on. Therefore i missed out on 6 points.

Option 1 and 3 are acceptable. Option 2 would not be as the vast majority of competitors have managed to post scores.
I would probably come down on the side of an average score.

For what it's worth, option 3 for me

Looks like Option 3. I'll do the sums...

OK, score adjustments have now been made. I've had to cheat the database a bit, so the week on week position changes might not make sense, but the totals are correct.
Thanks to everyone for their input. Hopefully we won't have to deal with anything like this again!

is it possible to see the historic scores for that week ? what scorers adjustment was made for teams like mine where i had predicted all the scores at the weekend but had only filled in 1 scorer (for the man u hull match which was on the saturday)

The average number of goalscorer points from the 8 games* in midweek was 5 points (to 1 decimal place). The average number of goalscorer points from all games in Week 25* (including Man Utd v Hull) was 5 points (to 1 decimal place).
Everyone who didn't predict the midweek fixtures got the 5 points as a bonus. If you used up some (or all) of your goalscorer slots on the Man Utd v Hull game then you've had an extra windfall (to be honest, it was getting too complicated to calculate otherwise).
* for all the people who did manage to predict
