Sorry about the downtime

You may have noticed that PredictTheScore's been offline for a couple of days (namely from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday evening).
This was caused by our database being shut down by our webhost due to some unusual activity which overloaded the server.
We hope that we have now resolved the issue and we are now back up and running.
It looks like more than 90% of regular predictors managed to predict for the Prediction Premiership, Prediction Championship and SuperScots games that took place on those evenings before the site went down, so we're going to let those predictions stand. If you are one of the people who emailed us jsut before kick off with your predictions then don't worry, we'll be adding those in before the weekend.
Thanks for your patience, and thanks for playing PredictTheScore.

What is going to happen to the people who where unable to predict ?

given people couldn't get on to adjust scores, or predict scorers, the fairest thing is to abandon the whole week.

I think thats a fair and justified decision.

Our feeling was that enough people managed to predict in advance (as it wasn't the start of the week).
However, we're open to a debate - let us know what you think.

I can understand why your letting the prediction stand but too make it fair all-round how about giving the players who couldnt predict a average score for the week if thats possible

Seems some teams have been given points for goalscorers even though they didnt predict a correct goalscorer.
There are 2 teams in my mini league where this is the case and they have been given an extra 6 points!

Fixed..!

I think David's suggestion is a good one. However, I do agree with Matt that the best thing to do would be to void the whole week. That's the only solution that's fair on everyone.

No!!! It wouldn't be fair to abandon everyone's scores. Those that had a good week then suffer unfairly. I agree with David Strevett. Award the average score to those who couldn't predict.
